Choosing to study abroad was the turning point in my life. As the founder and CEO of Navon Study International, I often reflect on the moment I decided to pursue my Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration in Geneva, Switzerland. It was a leap into the unknown, and yet, it became the foundation of my professional success and personal growth.
As a young student, the thought of leaving my home country to study in one of Europe’s most prestigious cities was overwhelming. I knew Geneva was a global hub for business and international relations, but it wasn’t just about the academic reputation—I wanted to challenge myself, to grow beyond the familiar, and experience a world that was completely different from what I knew.
When I finally arrived in Geneva, I quickly realized I was about to embark on a life-changing journey. The city’s energy, its blend of cultures, and its focus on excellence set the stage for the most transformative years of my life.
Studying Business Administration was, of course, my primary goal, but Geneva gave me so much more. The Swiss approach to education is rigorous and practical, with a strong focus on real-world applications. I was able to connect with professors who were not only academics but seasoned professionals in international business. They brought global case studies and market insights right into our classrooms.
But beyond the academics, it was the everyday experiences that shaped me. I immersed myself in French classes, eager to learn the language that connected me to the local culture. Geneva’s multilingual environment pushed me to become fluent in French, which not only enhanced my communication skills but also gave me a deeper understanding of the local way of life.
This experience of learning a new language taught me that business is not just about numbers and strategies—it’s about building relationships and understanding cultures.
